The building in the Romantic Neo-Gothic style, built for Józef Mycielski, designed by Friedrich August Stüler in the years 1849-1854. The palace was rebuilt around 1900 and restored in 1984-1986. The building is characterized by massive corner towers, battlement and a partially dry moat around it. On the top of the central break there is a family coat of arms - Dołęga. At the rear of the palace there is a winter garden, now a restaurant. The whole area is surrounded by a 3.2 ha park.
According to Marcin Libicki, the residence was the fulfillment of romantic dreams of the mid-nineteenth century, taken from the works of Walter Scott, George Byron, or the native works of Mickiewicz. The palace combined the English neo-gothic trends with the tradition of the 15th-century Florentine residence. In Rokosowo, for the first time in Greater Poland, a two-story chapel was used, covered with a cross vault.
After Mycielski the owner of the palace was prince Adam Konstanty Czartoryski, and then his son Zygmunt Czartoryski and grandson Jan Roman Czartoryski (from 1930). Currently, it serves as the Center for European Integration and belongs to the Marshal's Office of the Wielkopolska Region.
A beautiful palace and a well-kept park, you can take a walk. Usually ducks swim in the pond. It is interesting at any time of the year.
Inside and out - decently. Nice green area around. Shop nearby.
We organized a wedding in the Rokosowo palace and we were really satisfied.
Dealing with organizational matters with Mrs. Halina was very professional and in a really nice atmosphere.
The food was very good, except for a few dishes (starters and a peasant table).
At the wedding of two people approached me and praised waiter service, there were also a few malcontents (drew attention to the diversity of dress - you do not remember), but overall very good impression.
Nice surprise (we forgot to discuss it) on their wedding day was the fact that the castle has been beautifully decorated.
The rooms in the castle are not luxurious, but neat and clean, guests had no objections. The phenomenal groom's apartment.
Aura castle and park complex plus the ability to use the terrace made the atmosphere at the wedding was exceptional.
My final rating is five with a small downside.
The place is really beautiful. The palace has a fantastic interior. There is also a great park outside. I most recommend it.
