Without knowing anything about the history of this place, I put forward a thesis: flooded excavations are traces of the erstwhile excavation of gravel or other aggregate, the ruins of the building are the remains of the loading infrastructure for the (narrow-gauge?) Railway, the spoil of which was transported through a nearby ruined bridge located on the South. from both these places to ... Exactly: where to? And is that? And who was herr Goletz and was it all his doing? Somebody knows..?
