In 1966, a unit of the Volunteer Fire Brigade was established in Wiszniów. It was founded by Bernard Barszcz, while serving as the first president, Aleksander Błaszczak became the head. Firefighters received a motor pump and a car as equipment. In 1987, a fire station was built, which also housed a post office and a catechetical center. In 1996 and 2009, combat cars were purchased. In 2011, the firehouse - common room was renovated. In 2016, the 50th anniversary of OSP Wiszniów was celebrated.
