Largely reconstructed beginning with the 70s and during later years with EU funds, this is part of the Zamosc system of fortification. It's really impressive, I don't understand what's with the almost amphitheatre looking area but a very cool site

Opposite the parking lot is Nowa Lubela Lubelska. After bricking up the old Lublin Gate, a new one was built in 1821-22 in the classical style during the modernization of the fortress during the Congress Kingdom. In the mid-nineteenth casemates were added. After the liquidation of the fortress in 1866, the gate opening was walled up and adopted on the backs, prison and later for warehouses. The gate was revitalized in 2007-09.

The New Lublin Gate was built after the old Lublin Gate, which is slightly to the side. A gate with side arcades that were the entrances to the local fortress rooms. Renewed in 2007-2009. The gates are part of the Zamość Fortress.
