The Small Salt Market - the name comes from the salt transported from Wieliczka and not only the storage here. There is a small dwarf standing on guard and an anchor given from shipping in the summer, there are cafe gardens, not far from the church and the Town Hall

The little gnome, Baliaryga, looks after the salt transported from Wieliczka to the Zamość fortress. A small market worth visiting.

The Salt Market is one of the three main squares in the old town in Zamość. Most probably it was created at the end of the sixteenth century and was a place of salt trade which at that time was imported to Zamość from Drohobycz. Currently, the market acts as a square with parking in one part, while the rest in the summer is occupied by cafe gardens or restaurants under umbrellas. On the Solntm Market there is an unusual exhibit, a powerful anchor that is a gift to the city from the Polish Sea Shipping and comes from the ship "Zamość Land".
