A very nice place to relax, especially for an archery tournament, I recommend it !!!
There is not much left but a good place to walk.
An always interesting place.
Ruins of the Tęczyński, Radziwiłł and Zamoyski castle (14th / 15th century) called Zamczysko. The castle, which is the seat of the former owners of Kraśnik, has been preserved as a lofty mountain located north of the Kraśnik market and separated from it by a deep ravine. The building has been entered in the register of monuments since 1962.
As a result of archaeological excavations carried out by the Department of Archeology of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and the Regional Museum in Kraśnik and the analysis of available materials, the beginnings of the Castle's development at the turn of the 14th / 15th century were determined and three phases of use were separated. The construction of the oldest late-medieval building (phase I), dating from the late fourteenth or early fifteenth century, was probably associated with the person of Andrzej Tęczyński. In the second half of the fifteenth century, the castle was rebuilt by Jan Rabsztyński (phase II). In the foundations of the second phase manor, sandstone blows were used, which was also used in the construction of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and only limestone and fingering bricks, and possibly wood, were used in the building of the phase I. The manor house burnt down at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries.
The third phase is probably the reconstruction of the manor by Jan Gabriel at the beginning of the 16th century after the Tatar damage from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. Gabriel's line is a period of splendor of the castle, Renaissance decor, which was reflected in Gothic-Renaissance tiles referring to Lesser Poland patterns. The end of Zamczyska's existence as a residential residence is the second half of the 16th century. Until the mid-seventeenth century, tenants and managers resided in it, during this period the buildings fell into ruin and were demolished.
There was no stone on stone after the castle. Visible square hills with the remains of a moat. Currently owned by a private person. There are works of cutting down trees and shrubs.
