Stara Chata - znane miejsce

Beautiful old house renovated in a good style. We spent a week in it in the summer of 2019. Nice lady owner. A garden with old fruit trees. In the house a place to store bicycles. Very good location. I would recommend !!!

(June 2019) It's really a hut. With all its charms, but also - "limitations". You will not find here conditions like in the spa, huge TV, super fast internet (although Wi-Fi is), etc. For this you will find peace and idyllic atmosphere. And yet quite a lot of convenience. The kitchen is fully equipped (without a dishwasher, but with an electric cooker). We did not try to start the tiled stove, but it is charming. Bathroom - everything is there, including a washing machine (for clarity - shower, bath tub is not available). A large wardrobe, a double bed, a bookcase full of books! Corner (sofa), one more sofa, the other part of the tiled stove (it is in the end a hut), separately a goat (stove) for wood. And a piano, though you will not play it. From the entrance to the garden. In the entrance hall "toolbox" - clothes dryer, bicycle (!), Deckchairs. The garden itself - climatic. Rural. Grass, trees, at the end a place for a bonfire and benches. So much. For some it is not enough, for others it will be just right. There is room for two cars in front of the house. Getting from Suwałki hassle-free. From the main road - a minute's drive. The road itself seems to be visible from the windows, but usually not too bothersome. You will sleep on the other side, so no sleep problems. Do not expect great tourist attractions or a large gastronomic base nearby. Fields, meadows, forests, lakes. Calm! Gastronomy - in the neighboring village (Stary Folwark) two restaurants (one open - as of June 2019 - only on weekends, the other on a daily basis). Shop - also in Stary Folwark, we went to Suwałki (there is already a typical state of affairs). Note - get ready for insects. It's a village, there is a lot of space around to multiply. A mosquito remedy will be useful. What would we change? The garden is lovely, but probably we would throw in two or three lamps and maybe some stone path to the fire. Owners are supposedly already organizing mosquito nets to the door - if it works, it will be a plus. Venting the hut without allowing mosquitoes would be great.
