The defensive manor house in Kluczowa was built before 1600, and in 1685 it was rebuilt into a baroque residence. Reconstruction in 1837 according to the design of Karl Friedrich Schinkel gave it its present classicist form. The owner of the local goods was then Jan Nepomuk Rust, who was the personal physician of King Frederick William III. As a professor of surgery at the Jagiellonian and Berlin University, he became famous as a precursor of modern surgery. The property remained in the hands of Rust's descendants until World War II. Apparently, when renovation works were taking place here in the 1980s, one day the owner suddenly disappeared, leaving the construction equipment behind. It is suspected that he might have found some treasure during the works and hence the disappearance without a trace. At the west façade of the palace, it is worth paying attention to the two-story column, originally a well, built in 1837. On the other side of the palace there is a small, but quite charming park. It is believed that it was a French-style layout, existing in the 18th century, then turned into an English landscape park during the time of Rust. Several exotic tree species have also been preserved. The red brick building is a decaying building of a former brewery. It is said that it was used to weigh quite a good beer, which was enjoyed in a country inn

Defensive mansion in Kluczowa. Lower Silesia. The first mention of construction is 1600. Still holding on. A strange kind of "renovation" has gone through. Inside, steel ceiling beams and concrete. The elevation was "covered" with nasty plaster. Inside, modern partitions, rooms. Preserved wooden stairs to the upper floors and the remains of the parquet. Many old, abandoned farm buildings prevail over the palace. A well has survived from the impressive park. The park is now very overgrown. It's even difficult to take a photo of the palace from the outside.

The palace complex together with the palace and the brewery building are beautiful. The facade suggests that we are dealing with a huge building, but it was created as a result of the nineteenth-century reconstruction of the palace and behind it is a fairly modest rest of the building. It can be seen that in the heyday of glory he had to impress both the locals and visitors. Located by the road from Ząbkowice Śląskie to Dzierżoniów / Świdnica. Unfortunately, the area around the palace is overgrown and neglected, and the palace is devastated and stripped of everything that represented any value (or not) and could be carried out. Currently, there are no renovation initiatives in the hands of the private owner. Worth seeing while it is still standing.
