You can see that people are trying to take care of this cemetery. Corrected letters on gravestones, and mowed paths. Unfortunately, several tombstones were destroyed by bad people.

The Bukowiec cemetery is in the center of the village, next to Rokicińska Street. Its beginnings can date back to 1803, when on the initiative of the Prussian authorities a colony (named then Königsbach) was established and settlers from Württemberg were brought. The cemetery covered an area of nearly 2,000 square meters and was surrounded by a brick wall. The last burials took place in 1945. Apparently, in the 1980s, the tombstones remained virtually intact, and the cemetery was surrounded by a tall brick wall. The devastation carried out in the following decades deprived him of "readability", making it similar to an overgrown, wild garbage dump. Today it is one of the most famous village Evangelical-Augsburg cemeteries in the region. Thanks to the cleanup action of 2009 initiated by Tomasz Klepacz - a member of the "Łódź Group" Exploration and History Association and the subsequent activity of Andrzej Braun, councilor in the local commune, the building regained its former character. The topic of Bukowiec and its history was raised in local media. Around numerous articles in the press and on the internet started to discuss not only the issue of abandoned evangelical cemeteries, but also the memory of the multicultural roots of the region. Currently, we can see dozens of tombstones, fragments of monuments and grave frames in various forms at the cemetery. The oldest monument dates from 1852. At the cemetery you will also find a fragment of an old wooden cross, a modern cross and a "lapidarium" composed of zinc tablets. A large information board welcomes visitors since 2016
