The legibility of the borders of the Evangelical cemetery of the former residents of the German village of Springberg has been maintained thanks to collective memory. On the surface of approx. 0.4 ha, some old trees have been preserved with the dominant self-seeding. The presence of burials is mainly represented by vandalized, completely anonymous burial caverns. We will not find any readable array or epitaph, which probably served as a free and durable building material for nearby pigsties. We can only guess about the easement of the necropolis by literally several edgings of tombstones, a bit of graveyard debris and ... perhaps for the sake of irony printed call of a municipal official to remove rubbish from the historic (!) Cemetery. I do not know how to treat the bizarre content visible in several places on the wall of chaotic green? Taking into account the continuity of power, the same instance for decades neglected its duties of even cleansing and marking. Now a serious official appeals for voluntary removal of trash lying on the surface of the 'monument'! Smaller about the monument, but the cemetery itself is almost gone! The Act on Cemeteries and Burial Sites from 1959, as well as other legal acts allowed to remove such objects. Sometimes, reasonable people defended them against theft and devastation, realizing the importance of the sacred, emotional role, historical message and identity of the current residents. There is no old cemetery in Springberg in Zawada. If there is even a relic, though memory, it will be good ...
