Until 1945, or maybe a little later in Zawada, there were two evangelical and Catholic cemeteries. The first one fell into oblivion, but the second was lucky for new post-war newcomers. They took over the burial place of Catholic predecessors as if from a march, and the natural demographic processes decided to gradually supplant German relics. The cemetery occupies a plot of about 0.3 ha, the boundaries of which remained clear thanks to the new fence and conscientious care of local parishioners. The central point is a monument erected in the first half of the twentieth century, probably at the burial site of a nun (Elizabeth), named Katharina Mintz from the Congregation of the Gray Sisters of St. Elizabeth. This is the only German-language burial, because there is no material trace of Catholics from Springberg on the entire necropolis. Well, maybe except for a few artifacts hidden under a shallow layer of soil or abandoned nearby. I believe that, after all, luck favored the rural genius loci, because the easement of the place covered by the permanent sacrum was preserved. The inhabitants accepted the burials of the recent enemies, which symbolically made the act of reconciliation. I do not know the local history, but perhaps the nameless remains found during the new ceremonies, find respect and the right place within the limits of the cemetery. Where they should remain, they should be respected forever, which is due to everyone ... After all, visitors have the opportunity to admire the vast panorama of the hilly area, dominating in the moraine landscape with the mountain Dąbrowa (German: Dombrowa Berg) and Źródlana Mountain (German: Spring Berg).
