It's not okay! It is a common burial place for current residents - Poles and former residents of Wittkow until 1945. Those present use the cemetery established by their predecessors, but a bilingual plaque devoted to the deceased Protestants is hidden on the outskirts of the quarters, as if embarrassingly emphasizing the presence of 'foreign' remains. The other half, neglected, overgrown with wild vegetation, still hides the destructions of those tombstones. One part - currently Catholic from the other Evangelical one, is separated by a curtain of tall thuja. It is a clear line between 'those' and ours. It is unfair, because the identity of the inhabitants of Witanków has its source much earlier than the date of settlement of the first post-war generations of new owners. If only for this reason, everyone deserves memory and respect for the dead. The evidence on the spot shows that it is not the best in Poland. One part flaunts with beautiful tombstones, and the other dies again in oblivion. This is not right!
