Jan Nepomucen from Oleksowa Gniewosz (born in 1827 in Ponik, died September 9, 1892 in Krosno) - columnist, industrialist, writer, journalist, publisher, collector of paintings by Polish painters, Wielkopolska insurrectionist in 1846 and 1848, January, state prisoner from 1846 in Moabita. Publisher and editor of Lviv magazines: "Sztandar Polski", "Strażnica Polska", "Wiadomości Przemysłowo-Rękodzielnicze". book on the use of waste in industry and "National and utility bitumens", ed. Jasło 1885. He was involved in the use of petroleum products. The rapid development of the labyrinth lured him to Krosno, where he had lived since 1872. He published in this city the journal Przegląd Górniczy Techniczny i Przemysłowy.
