War cemetery situated in a wonderful place of beautiful architecture.
One of the prettiest I've ever seen.
It covers an area of 917 m2 and was designed by Heinrich Scholz. The cemetery was built on a rectangular plan and was fenced with a wooden rail fence framed by stone pillars. The cemetery is located on a moderately sloping south slope. The main element of the cemetery is a high wooden cross with a serrated glory at the crossroads of the arms, mounted on a pedestal made of stone blocks, narrowing towards the top.
The graves of the soldiers were arranged in rows perpendicular to the longer axis of the cemetery. There are wooden crosses topped with the main glories made of serrated sheet metal, similar to those on the cross. At the intersection of the arms of the crosses there are enamel plates with the names of soldiers. A different Lorraine cross was made for the only Russian soldier.
The cemetery was designed in such a way that it consists of two quarters separated by a road. There were gates at both ends, on the sides of the cemetery.
104 Austro-Hungarian soldiers and one Russian soldier were buried in eight mass graves and 47 individual graves. The names of 81 buried are known.
