It is located in the Rożnów Foothills, on the top of the Gródek hill, 436 m above sea level. Cemetery designed by Heinrich Scholz. It has the shape of an irregular heptagon. At the very top of the hill there is a massive stone monument in the shape of an ancient pylon. On each of its four walls there is a stone inscription in German: - "SCHÄTZE BIRGT / DIESER BERG / TREUE, MUTIGE MÄNNER" - "UNS WARD DER KRIEG, EIN GRAB, - AUFERSTEUNG" - "DIE IHR IM LICHTE WANDELT / DENKET DERER, DIE FÜR / EUCH GESTORBEN SIND." - "WIR KAMEN WEIT HER, UM DEN TOD ZU SUCHEN". which in translation read: This hill hides a treasure - faithful, brave men. The war has become a grave for us - your rebirth. As you walk in the light of the day, think about those who have died for you. We've come from far away to find death. 273 soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian army and 341 soldiers of the Russian army were buried in 51 mass graves and 215 individual graves. A wonderful cemetery. The idea of Heinrich Scholz (designer) was to leave the tombstones in such places as if the soldiers were still fighting there. Likewise with the rest of it, like pouring on missiles, which in this place have not been leveled. From the cemetery there is a beautiful view towards the Low Beskids.
