Great place to visit

There is no lift, but there are some benches on the way to the top if you need to rest. If there is nobody at the entrance, you may ask for admission at a nearby tourist information point.

A nicely lit, white tower, the highest town hall tower in Lower Silesia. In December, decorated with a Santa hat.

The tower of the town hall in Głogów is just over 80 m high and is currently the second highest in Poland, after the tower of the Gdańsk town hall. It is 13 cm lower than the first one, which was built in 1720. The tower, Głogów town hall as well as the entire town were completely destroyed at the end of World War II. The remains of the tower were blown up and dismantled in the 1960s. The first steps to rebuild the town hall and the tower were undertaken in 1984. The tower was reconstructed in parallel with the work on the reconstruction of the entire building of the town hall only at the end of the 1990s. At that time, until now, the costly long-term works aimed at rebuilding the Old Town of Głogów are still underway. The tower is open to visitors, and from its terrace you can admire the panorama of the entire city and the vicinity of Głogów. -
