The building was designed in a modernistic style by Rudolf Sunderland and built in 1928/1929 on the corner of the then Cegielniana (Jaracza) and Trębacka (Uniwersytecka) for the owners of the Łódź Fabryka Koronek i Haftów in Kalisz "Triangle": Jakub Fuks and Abram Sztajsznajder. From 1934, the owner was Mojżesz Fereina. Before the war, the building was the seat of courts. The remains of the crutches (preserved after the renovation of the façade) come from 1945, when the Russians entering Lodz fired at the Germans staying in the building.
