It was founded as an auxiliary cemetery in 1831 during the cholera epidemic. It was created quickly, in a few weeks, and only 83 people were buried there. Among the people who are buried here is, among others Wilhelm Thau, owner of the brewery on Breslauerplatz (now Piłsudski Square), Franz Adamczyk, royal poviat court counsel and wife of doctor Zedler, a city doctor who was one of those who tried to fight the epidemic (he even published a newspaper dedicated to it). The last burial took place around 1880. It is one of the oldest preserved Opole cemeteries to this day, although almost nothing remains. It is surrounded by a wall with a chapel of St. Jack. The cemetery area itself is overgrown with a rare tree stand, no tombstone has been preserved in its entire location. A dozen, overturned or damaged, overgrown are more or less vegetation. In several places you can also see the landslide in the place of the graves.
