Lovely classic style old market square in Krotoszyn.

I like the town hall and the whole square. You can see that the authorities care about the city's appearance. As I came here by bike from Kalisz, the bicycle infrastructure caught my eye. I recommend getting to the Krotoszyn market.

The town hall in Krotoszyn is a brick building from 1689. It was founded by the then-owner of the city Franciszek Gałecki and the mayor Jan Dobrowolski. This building burned down in 1774 during a city fire. It was rebuilt in the baroque style in 1777 and then rebuilt in the years 1898-1899, when one storey was rebuilt and the facades were transformed in the German Neo-Renaissance style. The remains of the previous town hall building are the cellar vaults and the tower. The town hall is one of the most interesting monuments of the city. It is an interesting example of public utility construction in Greater Poland.
