In the second half of the 16th century, Baruchowo was owned by the Baruchowski family, later the goods passed into the hands of the Moszczeńskis, and then the Dąmbskis. In 1837, they were purchased by Leon Kretkowski, a councilor of the Masovian Voivodeship and a judge of peace in the blacksmith district. The property remained in the possession of the Kretkowski until 1945. Leon's son, Emilian Kretkowski, built a manor house at the end of the 19th century, using the foundations of an old estate. The stately building is surrounded by a park with an area of 5.51 ha, established by Leon and Maria Kretkowski. It was designed in 1908 by a German gardener from Poznań named Bedeker. The park covers terrain of various heights. It is accessed by a linden alley lined on each side with a double row of small-leaved lime trees at the age of about 150 years. Near the watercourse, there are riparian species with dominant black alder, as well as ties and hornbeams. On the west side, the park is limited by hedges of snowball, dogwood and dense elm plantings. 14 of the most valuable trees grow in the western part of the park, incl. English oaks, small-leaved linden, hornbeam. 4 oaks and Norway maple were considered natural monuments. The last owners of the Baruchow estate highly appreciated the beauty and aesthetics. So they brought all kinds of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants into their gardens. To this day, we can admire the growing limba pine, which naturally lives only in the high parts of the mountains. Walnuts and decorative shrubs have been planted by the pond, incl. Turkish hazelnuts. The main element and advantage of the park have always been three picturesque fish ponds with a total area of one hectare, connected with each other by dikes, through which ran the park alleys. When the Kretkowski family lost their property, the park began to decline. The natural springs that fed the ponds were blocked, causing the middle reservoir to dry out completely.
