Near the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Łagiewniki near Kraków there is an Austrian cemetery from the First World War. This cemetery, built according to the design of Hans Mayr, built the Department of War Graves C. and K. Military Command in Krakow. This necropolis is closely connected with the nearby monastery of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, because it was there that in the outbuildings, the Austro-Hungarian army organized a military epidemiological hospital. The hospital's operation covers the period between August 1914 and December 1918. The cemetery was created for the deceased in the said hospital. The total number of buried is 266 people from fifteen different nationalities. Here rest Poles, Hungarians, Germans, Croats and even Estonians. Only the entrance gate has survived from its original design. The grave fields were blurred due to intentional planting. The monument standing in the cemetery is now modern, just like the cross, which was made according to the plans of Hans Mayr.

A wonderfully renovated war cemetery from World War I, located at the foot of the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy. There are 266 soldiers buried here in a nearby military hospital due to infectious diseases.
