I don't speak Polish, but the good people at Pub Piwnica have spoken English to me without resentment. They've actually been among the most friendly I've encountered in Polish bars and restaurants. The prices are good - 6 zloty (about €1.50) for a large beer (near-pint). The food is fine, priced OK. Pierogi are very good. Pizza is decent. Wifi is terrible at the front of the pub but good down by the bar. Crowd are young but not loud or obnoxious when I've been there. Recommend this for tourists, especially people who want to avoid the awkwardness of not speaking the language.
