We went such a long way to visit this memorial, an abandoned tiny place located right in the crossroads. It was sort of tricky to see a site that was once closely linked to our past yet has nothing to do with our present nor the future. Something, someone, some moments, have definitely been intentionally eliminated and denied for whatever reasons. WE, as individuals, probably could do nothing to change anything, but we try much harder to disclose, to clarify, to remember, to not forget, ever.

What a strange quirky monument to such a famous event in world/Chinese history. It seems like a bit of a metaphor in itself. It's located in a busy city centre but seemingly forgotten or not cared about from the people around it. An awkward location but still appropriate. If you're staying close by, it's worth crossing the street at the pedestrian crossing just to appreciate the history behind the making of it so give it a quick Google too.
