A very interesting place, especially for all those who are interested in history. Thanks to the numerous information boards, you can find out who is buried - victims of the Stalinist period and the war.
These are two separate cemeteries, though located next to each other. More to the north, the Soviet Soldiers' Cemetery - stands here m / in a statue from the Monument of Gratitude (once on Kosciuszko Square). Next to the Cemetery Defenders of the Coast in the south. The main difference visible from a distance is the other crosses and other emblems on the graves.
Point from History
An interesting place for people interested in recent history. The necropolis, which began to be created in 1939 as the burial place of the victims of the defense campaign in September 1939. This is where the soldiers of the 1st Naval Rifle Regiment, sailors from Polish ships, commanders leading the Coastal Defense in 1939 and commander Mar. Of the war, victims of the German murder in Piaśnica, soldiers of the 1st Armored Brigade died in fighting in 1945 and soldiers of the Red Army died in fighting in Gdynia in January 1945. Numerous plaques commemorating the victims of the war and the Stalinist period.
