It is very interesting cemetery. You can find there Polish heroes which were murdered
during World War II. It is very quiet and not touristic place. During nice sunny Saturday when I spent there over 30 minutes I haven't met any other person. Cemetery is located in quite busy district as there are many block of flats around. Strange. Please read about history of this place. It is extremely interesting. There are many victims from first days of this biggest world war. Among others are there railwaymen and customs officers from Szymankowo and great defenders of Polish Post Office from Gdansk from 1939. Glory to them!
A shocking repetition of history. It is worth showing up here to pay tribute to the fallen and find out who is resting here. The fence could be cleaned with a pressure washer
A place of reflection and reflection. There are, among others, graves of murdered Defenders of the Polish Post, and railwaymen from Szymanków. A must-see place for the enthusiast of the history of the Free City of Gdańsk.
A national memorial worth visiting. An interesting arrangement (equal rows of concrete tombstones), the tomb of the postmen shot in 1939 and the monument to the murdered railroad workers and customs officers. The area is surrounded by a beautiful openwork fence, and the cemetery itself is surrounded by greenery on all sides. I definitely recommend it - not only to fans of G. Grass's "Tin Drum". Who has read, knows what I am writing about :)
