At the turn of the century, the Prussian authorities placed particular emphasis on the development of education. Among the many new schools was the Real School in Wolsztyn (German: Königlische Realschule). The building was built in 1907 according to the standards of Prussian public construction. The plastered brick building is distinguished by a high roof with a characteristic clock tower covered with an onion cupola. In the years 1937-1939 it housed a men's school, and during the occupation the German High School. At the end of the war, as in many similar facilities, a military hospital was established there. Currently, Primary School No. 1 is located here.
