A very nice place.
Bojanowo is a city in Wielkopolska, which was located in 1585 and for the second time in 1638. The location document was granted by the King of Poland, Władysław IV Waza, and was settled by Silesian Protestants.
The market was marked out in 1638, locating it at the then existing communication route leading from Poznań to Wrocław. In the middle of the market stood a wooden town hall with a tower and in the basement of the building there were dungeons in which torture was used to extort the testimonies of local criminals. In August 1857, the most tragic Bojanow fire broke out, which destroyed the entire city, including the market square, the town hall and the nearby Evangelical church. The current development of the market, which can still be seen today, comes from the second half of the 19th century, after a tragic fire. The middle of the Bojan market remained undeveloped and the new town hall stood in the southern frontage of the market. It is richly decorated with cornices, ornaments, figures, and although it is the most beautiful building on the market, it does not resemble a typical town hall.
