One of the most beautifully situated cemeteries from the First World War in Lodz. Currently very run down, but worth a visit. In the center, on a large hill, there is a monument commemorating those killed in the ongoing battles.

War cemetery in Gadce Stara - a necropolis located in Gadce Stara, at the south-eastern edge of the village, along Czartoryski Street. From the north-west it borders on the active cemetery of St. St. Maksymiliana Kolbe. There are ashes of the soldiers from World War I during the battle of Łódź. A stone obelisk has been preserved with the inscriptions of Pro Patria (Latin for the Homeland) and Hier ruhen in Gott 2000 Tapfere Krieger (German Here rests 2,000 brave soldiers in God). Soldiers of the German army are buried here, in September 1939. At the beginning of the 1970s, the remains of German and Russian soldiers, previously deposited at the War Cemetery in Wolności Park in Pabianice, were moved to the cemetery.
