Pogorzela is a small city in Greater Poland, which has just over 2,000 inhabitants. In its central part there is a relatively large market with an irregular shape. Pogorzela obtained its urban location before 1458. On the market square there is a town hall from the 19th century, a monument to Greater Poland Insurgents, a monument to John Paul II, a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate Conception and two squares. There is a church of St. Archangel Michael. Currently (in 2019) the market is being renovated and will soon gain a new face, becoming a major tourist attraction
