In 1946, Jan Gibus became the head of primary school 130. He worked in this position until his retirement (August 31, 1973). He initiated and organized a lot of community work that contributed to the rapid development of the school. As early as 1946, the school building and square were developed, the school was plastered and repainted, the missing furniture was purchased, and a gym was arranged. The so-called "Accelerated classes". In 1948, at the request of J. Gibus, a sports ground, a long jump, a football and basketball court were organized at the school. The field was planted with poplars (100 pieces). in 1949 the school was electrified and a radio device was purchased.
The school was rebuilt soon. A cloakroom, a kitchen, a dining room, a wash basin, taps with running water, a boiler room and a coal room were arranged. Additional stairs were also built. The second floor was also illuminated by building windows in the roof. The school grounds were fenced with a net, and the front of the building was decorated with flower beds, thujas, Italian poplars, roses and pansies. A deep well with its own borehole and electric drive was also built at the school. Water was connected to the school and teachers' rooms.
In the 1960s, the second floor of the school was rebuilt. An audiovisual corridor and an audiovisual room with a room for a film camera, TV set, radio, electronic clock, reel-to-reel "Tesla" tape recorder, projector, epidiascope were created. School youth watched scientific, educational and feature films. After the meetings, the parents could also watch an interesting fictional or educational film. Children were also fed at the school. J. Gibus was very concerned about the comprehensive development of the school. A music band was established at the school - it was led by Mr. Bogdanowicz, School Sports Club - under the care of Mr. K. Kwiatosiński. School trips to Łódź and Warsaw and further, to the sea or to the mountains were organized. The school also organized additional training for teachers, led by Maria Kapek, Zofia Kacprzak, Elżbieta Murawa, and Barbara Masłowska. There were also lessons open to parents, parental evenings and games.
Thanks to J. Gibus and the group of teachers, the school was one of the leaders in the poviat of Łódź.
It could be nicer, a big plus for a playground
Beautiful ... and besides, you can work out while staying with yourself ... exchange thoughts with nature)))
Cool place, nice playground :)
A tiny park, I didn't even know it was here.
