One of the greatest Polish writers, Bolesław Prus, or Aleksander Glowacki, was born on August 20, 1847 at the presbytery in Hrubieszów, where the parish priest was Feliks Troszczyński, the cousin of the future writer's mother. The presbytery building in which the future writer was born still exists today. It is natural, therefore, the decision to put his monument in this city. This is how it happened and on the initiative of the Hrubieszowski Regional Society it was unveiled on the 125th birthday of the writer, in August 1972. The designer and contractor of the monument was the Kielce sculptor Zygmunt Kaczor, and funds for his placement were obtained almost entirely from public fundraising. Built from the fine-grained Strzegom granite, the most famous and the most controversial (it comes to its appearance) from the Hrubieszów monuments, stands in the City Park. Solidarności at ul. May 3, the main street of the city.

a monument like a monument, set in a park where it is scavenged with bird shit unfortunately, but the location is nice, but you have to remember that it is a monument

The monument relates to the city of Hrubieszów as a whole in a beautiful way. It is underdeveloped / unfinished just like the whole city.
