I am looking for a hotel in Elbląg for today, for one night for two. Google suggests Żuławy hotel, available, price PLN 189. Same on Booking. I call the hotel, book. Price PLN 240. How is that? The lady at the reception was surprised, she could not explain. In the end, he agrees to my request and undertakes that he will find out what the matter is and call me back. It is 10:04. Nobody called back for more than 7 hours. At 5:39 PM I call the hotel again. After a while of conversation, I hear that they accept the price of PLN 189. I arrive at the hotel after about 30 minutes. Check-in, card payment, at the terminal ... PLN 240. The lady is trying to prove that there is now PLN 240 on the net. I ask if I spoke to her half an hour ago. I hear that it can be PLN 200. I repeat the question. I hear: - yes you are right, it will be PLN 189. You want everything. I check the net in 2 hours, it's already PLN 280. No comment. The hotel is heavily worn-out, its heyday (?) Is long over. Stained carpets in the room, an untidy handkerchief lying under the bed from the previous guests. It is unacceptable. And especially now, in the era of covid-19. The windows are closed - stuffy. The toilet flap is cracked. Water from the shower drains for several minutes after leaving. The mattress is very soft, sunken, the springs stick in the back. We have a hot August, it was up to 34 degrees C during the day, and thick winter duvets on the beds. At 23.40, the hotel guests use a table and chairs set up for them under my window. Noise, curses, the stench of cigarette smoke. The hotel is not worth the price of accommodation even at the level of PLN 50. I strongly advise against.

I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, escaping from another one because of the noise of the wedding. I came to a place where I could rest and which perfectly compensated for a long night, which ended with a headache. The hotel has very comfortable beds, clean smelling linen and it is pleasantly quiet, so this is a place for people who appreciate the comfort of peace and quiet. Moreover, the hotel's greatest advantage is its service, which makes you feel almost at home, cared for and even if you are allergic to food, the chef will also prepare something good. I am satisfied with the sudden and unexpected stay and I sincerely recommend this place. I will go back there again.
