The palace in Kościelniki Górne was built in the 18th century, and then expanded around 1866. It was then that it gained a completely new “design” in the French Neo-Renaissance style. The last owners of the Ober Steinkirch estate were the von Carnap family. Peter von Carnap - a town councilor from Elberfeld (today a district of Wuppertal) and a member of the Prussian court - purchased Kościelniki Górne in 1866 from the von Witzleben family. The property was given to the son of Peter von Carnap and Hulda, Juliane Bredt, cavalry lieutenant Johann Rüdiger Ludwig von Carnap, who in 1889 married Ilse von Loebbecke. The last of the family to reside in the Ober Steinkirch palace was reportedly the widow Ilse von Carnap. Unfortunately, it is not known exactly when she died. It is alleged that she was buried in the family crypt in a nearby mausoleum next to her son Rüdiger. As a standard, after World War II, the palace in Kościelniki Górne came under the management of the State Agricultural Farm. There were offices and apartments here. The former residents fondly remember the times when they resided on a 2000 m2 fairy-tale palace Since 2004, the palace has had a private owner. A Pole with German citizenship bought it, apparently planning to create a recreation center for artists from all over Europe. He was allegedly charged with renovating the building without the required permits. From what we have seen, the residence is literally banned from everything that had any historical value: sculptures, floors, heraldic cartouches, etc. In the niches of the façade facing the park, sculptures were still standing around 2006. Today only a memory remains. The coat of arms of the von Carnap family from the decorative cartouche on the balustrade of the terrace also fell off or came out. In one of the outbuildings, there was also a clock quite recently, now it's a hole in the clock.

Beautiful facility. Only it is decaying with everyone's consent. Until the heart breaks down ...

The palace in Kościelniki Górne was built in the years 1866–1867 as a result of the extension of the former manor house standing there. It is now privately owned.

Beautiful palace despite the state in which it is located. The palace in Kościeliska Górne (Ober Steinkirch) was built in the 17th century, rebuilt in the 19th century. Specifically in the years 1886-1887. The palace, as usual after the Second World War, was a state farm. In the case of this palace and not only, contrary to appearances, it prolonged the existence of this palace a little. Unfortunately, it is now a private property ruin.

Looking at the fact that it is falling apart, I must admit that it holds up well ... It's a shame that it can't be renewed because then it would be an even more interesting point on the map of places to visit. The complex is located in a private area but there is no problem to enter. The whole can be viewed from all sides, however, entering inside is very dangerous in this case.
