Interesting place. 30 minutes an 5 PLN to see the caves and listen to it's story - decent deal.
A nice small cave with an interesting history and good (polish) guides that give know a lot of interesting fact about the history of the place. Prices are reasonable.
Nice to see.
One of the few attractions in the vicinity of Łódź that has "blushed". I remember visiting these caves as a public place as a teenager, you could look there out of curiosity and find the remains of the local regulars in the form of beer bottles, cheeses and other rubbish. Personally, I am very happy that this place has been taken care of. Thanks to this, it ceased to be anonymous and historical life was breathed into it, and after all, only nobody knew anything about it (at least the less insightful ones). The attraction is located right on the route Tomaszów Maz-Smardzewice. There is a small car park next door, which is sometimes insufficient at weekends. Fortunately, on the other side of the road there is a roadside and a forest track, which is suitable for parking the car for several dozen minutes. Several dozen minutes - that's more or less the whole attraction - visiting the grottos with a guide. One enters groups of a dozen or so people at equal intervals. Inside, we can admire hollow corridors and peculiar additions to the décor of the underground, which are to influence the imagination of visitors. The guides working here deserve great praise. They do a great job and build a cool atmosphere of this place, telling about it with conviction. As I mentioned it is difficult to spend more time here, but it is worth visiting as part of a more widely planned tourist route or on the way to Zalew Sulejowski, listen to the previously unknown history of this place . A bomb for me. I recommend
The grottoes were opened after renovation in June 2020. The best quality quartz sand was added here. Now sand is mined in open pits near the Blue Springs. The length of the route is 160 m, can be visited only with a guide (in groups of up to 25 people). The temperature in the grottoes is around 10 ° C all year round. The grottoes dug by miners are very similar to natural caves. Interesting to visit.
