The arcaded house. A very nice monument, worth seeing.

Nice, but something else could be improved ... improved ...

This is one of the most interesting markets I've seen in smaller towns. Instead of the ugly concreted square there is a very nice and well-kept small park with beautiful large trees with benches and two monuments and a map of the area. The park is surrounded by parking, there is a lot of parking space. Around it you can find interesting buildings, you can also see the towers of both churches.

Fine and dandy.

The first mention of Pyzdry comes from 1232. The location document has not been preserved, but it is known that the city was located on the Magdeburg Law, most probably by Bolesław the Pious. On June 29, 1318, Władysław I Łokietek called a meeting to Pyzdry, at which a resolution was passed to send a message to Pope John XXII with a request for permission to be crowned. The central point of Pyzdry is the rectangular market, a large square with a tree-lined square in the middle and outlets of eight streets in the corners. In the middle of the inner greenery there is a small monument of Bolesław the Pious, the founder of Pyzdry and an erratic boulder with a plaque commemorating the 700th anniversary of the location of Pyzdry. In the southern part of the square there is a POW monument ("in honor of fallen colleagues for freedom in 1918-1920"). In 1939, the Germans ordered him to undress. It was again unveiled in free Poland on November 11, 1995. The Market Square is low, and the wooden peak house, dated back to 1768 in the eastern frontage, draws attention. - The first mention of Pyzdry comes from 1232.
