"Olbina", a forest reserve established in 1958, is located in the Brzeziny commune, 2 km east of the village of Pieczyska (Kalisz Poviat). Its area covers 16.30 ha. The main subject of protection is the fir tree stand, growing at the northern border of the fir reach. There are also Scots pine in the stand, single black alder and silver birch, while sporadically you can find aspen, English oak, beech, sycamore and elm. Some trees have impressive sizes: 40 m tall and 75 cm trunk diameter. The reserve also has many species of animals, including: squirrel, wild boar, roe deer, black woodpecker, greater woodpecker, cuckoo, forest creeper, oriole, raven, viper, snake, worm, sand lizard, frog lake, water frog. Significant natural values of this area have been noticed before, since since 1930, efforts have been made to protect it, which after eight years have had a positive effect. A curiosity is the name of the "Olbina" nature reserve, probably taken from the old folk name of the lake in which there is a reserve. It is supposed to come from the legendary dragon Olba or the name of the devil Olbina who, according to folk tales, lived in a nearby swamp, located in the south-eastern part of the reserve, and was going to sink Kalisz. It was he who mainly contributed to the preservation of a beautiful pine-spruce-pine forest.

Very attractive nature reserve. It is open to tourists (benches at the entrance, nature path). A diverse old-growth forest grows here, in which pine trees and single firs (!) Grow up to 190 years, which is unique. The Olba pond, which is surrounded by old alder, draws attention.
