It's not open right now, I was five years ago, hassle free entry. Founded association, no admission.
An unusual place for lovers of curiosities, but dealing with history will not find much for themselves
I was positively surprised by this palace, the number of rooms, the size is amazing, for an uninhabited object it is in good condition, there are no piles of rubbish like in other objects, it is not demolished by people who cannot respect someone's work from over a hundred years ago.
I appeal to people who will be there for me not to destroy and litter the object so that our children can still admire it
The castle in Stary Sielec, or rather it should be referred to as the palace, is a completely unique building of its kind. It began to be built around 1911 (this date appears on the top), and it was finished ... it was never actually finished. First, work was discontinued in connection with the outbreak of World War I (1914 - 1918), then the bad economic situation that developed after it ended, until the outbreak of another war in 1939. After 1945, all landowners were expropriated, so there was no one else to take care of this building. It was designed by Roger Sławski, a well-known Polish architect, for the Czartoryski family. It was supposed to be a seat worthy of this aristocratic family, which can be seen even today on the huge surface - up to 12,800 m3. The style was supposed to refer to the castle of Le Plessis-Boureé in France, although comparing it to the castle in nearby Rydzyna we will also notice many similarities. For its time it was a very modern building in construction. Technologies such as ceramic ceilings with a span of 8 - 10 m, reinforced concrete stairs or Klein lintel were used. All these elements have stood the test of time, testifying to the incredible resistance of materials and precision of builders. From the windows of the palace there is a view of the owner's fields and the panorama of Jutrosin. The panorama features a neo-Romanesque church founded by the Czartoryski family.
Climatic, rich in diverse vegetation, an oasis for animals and birds.
