Szamocin is a town with approximately 5,000 inhabitants. The first mention of the settlement comes from 1364, and in 1748 it was granted city rights. The inhabitants of the city took an active part in the Greater Poland Uprising of 1918-1919. In the city center there is a nicely developed square in the shape of a triangle, which was laid out in 1795 together with wide streets (now Hallera, Paderewskiego and Marcinkowski streets). - Szamocin is a town with approximately 5,000 inhabitants.
