Monument to St. Adalbert, who died a martyr's death so that we could become a Christian nation.

When visiting Gniezno, it is also worth visiting the monument to St. Adalbert.

The history of the monument is impressive. Well, it was made of a collection fund from the national fund. As the inscription informs, it was founded in the 1000th anniversary of the death of Saint. Adalbert. Dedicated to Saint. John Paul II during his pilgrimage to Poland in 1997. Saint is so presented as if he was about to leave the base and move on to evangelization. The originator of the monument was the Society of Gniezno Lovers, who invited the honorary committee for the construction of the monument, among others Speaker of the Polish Senate A. Struzik.
