It used to be called Małe Mierzyno (Klein Mersin). The first mention of the village comes from 1392. Until 1658, the village belonged to the Roszczyce estate. Documents from 1742 mention the von Lantow family as owners. In 1777 the village was owned by Jakob G. von Mach. The owners changed frequently in the following years. The last host of Mierzynek was Heinrich Peschko, who was a certified farmer. Together with his wife Eva-Luise Haselau, they took over the property in Mierzynek from Mrs. Eva-Luise's father in 1942. Mrs. Haselau's father, in turn, purchased it in 1911 from Mrs. von Bonin from Bożegopol Mały. The manor house in Mierzynek dates back to 1910-15. After 1945, it was the seat of the state-owned farm.
