The stone column is located on a high mound and is set on a pedestal next to the road leading to the castle hill. In the 17th century, Atanazy Mączyński ordered this column to be erected, probably as a vote of gratitude for the happy return from the relief of Vienna. The stone column is topped with an iron cross, and in the drawing by F. Strzyżewski it is presented as a grave in Zawieprzyce. The column is the first historical building on the route of visiting the park and palace complex in Zawieprzyce. It is only a dozen or so meters from the MPK stop on line 22.
