Incredible location (a former railway station in a beautiful forest setting, a pleasant walk away outside the village). Outstanding cuisine, beautifully presented and a lavish menu featuring local delicacies. The exquisite quality of the food and the unique settings all justify the high prices. However, the shoddy service does not. It was obvious from the outset that the waiter we were lumbered with was either brand new or was just filling in and had not been properly trained. He failed to mention the specials to us, couldn't answer a simple question about the beer and took the bill before we could leave a tip. Whilst other tables were given rather attentive service (having their candles lit and checking to see if everything was alright), we felt like we had been forgotten about. Now, it's not the guy's fault. He was pleasant and friendly but it was clear he was way out of his depth. The fault lies in the management for the significant lack of staff training. For this type of restaurant, the management needs to invest in proper staff training and greatly improve the overall level of service. It needs to be top-quality, professional and 100% attentive. Right now the service is clearly below standard. Please improve it and then this place will be really something very special.

Worth a visit. Tsarist rail station, well converted. Good food and value. Interesting menu well presented
