In May 2018 I bought a Peugeot 206 sw car from 2005, imported from Switzerland. There was a commission sale in the advertisement, and the car was to be covered by breakdown insurance included in the price. Today I know that buying a car in this place was a mistake. The best thing I could do then, after signing the contract, was to put the rag in the tank right outside the gates of the consignment and burn the shit. It would save me a lot of nerves, time and money. With the money I put into repairing it, I could buy a second, younger car. But from the beginning. In fact, the seller was the owner, not a consignment, so I had to pay 2% tax. That's less of a problem, the bigger was that the promised breakdown insurance was only available for cars sold by the company, so that wasn't the case - and it would have been useful. Something hummed during the test drive. The second-hand shopkeeper said they were brakes, probably rusted from standing in the yard. Because the price of PLN 8,500 and the car is not the newest, it is normal that the maintenance needs to be done. I did not fuss. I did not require miracles. The seller assured that the car is fully operational - ready to drive. I replaced the brakes. Front discs, front discs, rear discs, rear pads + manual. As the brakes stopped shuffling, I heard the humming of the tires. They were serrated. I exchanged for new ones. It was quieter and then the humming bearings in the gearbox came to the fore, which effectively camouflaged the above. I renovated the gearbox, and by the way, the clutch, because it was already dying. After 3 car washes, it turned out that the beautiful paintwork was not so beautiful. Numerous splinters and abrasions were camouflaged with professional detailing. After driving 1500 km, the car started to squeak like a ladder car. Everyone watched on the street. I found out what caused the tires to be serrated. The rear torsion beam was in ruins. I replaced it with a regenerated one, repairing the suspension elements. Sometimes the error "antypollution fault" was displayed on the computer. He also jerked at low speed. When replacing the spark plugs, it turned out that engine oil flows into the ignition coil seats from under the upper engine block seal. Since the engine was washed, there was no leakage at first glance. A glass of oil on the engine block did not leak from the damaged - taped with insulating tape - odmy conduit. It's a gasket. I replaced the gasket. Oil pooling in the seats has damaged the coil assembly. I replaced the coils. Sometimes the car had problems with ignition, it had to be gassed a lot. Once it went out while driving at an intersection which turned off the power steering. Cleaning the throttle. Winter has come. The car danced like a pole dancer on the slippery surface. Toe-in, backlash at the ends of the stick, and as if that was not enough, the left and right sticks were swapped places. When it was time for an inspection, the brake lights broke. On the day of the review. The rear wiper has been standing at attention since one rainy day. Naturally, when it got warm, the thermostat must have broken. It's finally time to change the oil. The electronic gauge started showing less oil. It turned out that it was leaking from under the lower engine gasket. I fixed it. 60 kilometers later, after changing the oil and sealing the block, the gauge decided to show: "too much oil". In fact, too much on the indicator. Soup and residual fluid in the coolant tank, and white goo under the oil filler cap. Well, a burnt out gasket under the head - this has not been played yet. The purchase price is PLN 8,500. Price on import documents 500 euros. The seller claimed that it was only for the tax to pay less. The fact is that this car was worth a maximum of 500 euros for its parts. To date, the cost of repairs after 1.5 years has amounted to over PLN 10,000. Every word written here is true and I take full responsibility for it.
