Archives of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. Formerly: the complex of buildings of the ŚlAM Investment Management Board, its warehouses and the general branch of the contractor for most of the facilities of the Ligota center - KBO Tychy (from the 90s - Budmed-PBO Tychy) - currently non-existent. Until 2003, the entire area, which was invariably owned by the university, was administered and protected by the construction company on a daily basis. Differences from the original state, operating until around 2005: demolished part of warehouse buildings and coal-fired boiler room, reduced area by separating unused small garage warehouses from it, rebuilding the former cloakroom into archive rooms, thorough reconstruction of the office building. By. of projects from the 60/70 years of the 20th century, three more were to be built here (compared to only two existing today) Student Hotels, while in the 80s and early 90s construction was being considered here, towards the intersection of Śląska and Medyks - single-family housing estates for university employees. The Investment Management left the office building around 2000-2001, at the same time the concrete plant at Ślepiotka, which is part of the area, was demolished. In the years 2001–2002 small companies renting offices or parking lots moved out, while in the spring of 2003 Budmed, which for some time still used the warehouses located here. The administrative and economic department of ŚlAM took over the buildings and security from the company in 2003, and the last warehouses on January 8, 2004, after which the facility was definitely deserted. For several years, the buildings were destroyed, not used by anyone, until reconstruction and change of purpose.
