A beautiful natural environment. Occasional human traces. The whole island is a habitat of the riparian forest with a very dense dogwood undergrowth. Fallen trees are not removed naturally and provide excellent habitat for insects. In many places one can observe traces of feeding of beavers and (interestingly) numerous mounds created by moles, which, due to the high water level, feed directly below the earth's surface. On the shallows around the island, frequent guests are herons, grebes, cormorants, coots and many other water birds.
