Unusually built spruce, whose name accurately reflects the state of affairs. The tree does not have the typical habitat of a soaring and regular crown, but about 4 meters above the ground from a single, clearly distorted trunk, grow numerous, originally arranged horizontally, and later upward rising side branches. They form as many as eight independent, already climbing arms in the sky. Their height is close to each other and it can be estimated that it does not exceed 20 m. Five of these arms are clearly thicker, three have a slightly smaller diameter. Hanging branches emerge from each arm, as is usually found on spruces. The whole to the illusion is actually reminiscent of a standing, several-armed, ornate candle holder traditionally called a candelabrum. Against the background of the surrounding young forest, these features are particularly well exposed and visible also from a distance. Precise definition of the age Candelabra is extremely difficult. The circumference at the height of the breast height seems to suggest about 70 years. However, it is not known what influence on the deformation of the trunk thickness had previously mentioned distortion. It is possible that the tree is older. It can be assumed that the reason for the unusual shape of the tree is to be found in the breaking of its trunk and the appearance of a thickening allowing the regrowth of numerous lateral branches, which surrounded by other trees, were forced to climb up in search of light. The candelabrum grows in the eastern sector of branch 123 of the former Tarnów Forest in the area designated as the Natura 2000 protection zone - Bagno Sławskie. It is about 600-700 meters from the western end of Sławski Lake. No forest road leads to it, or a clearly marked department line. You can not reach it by bicycle.
