From the information on the Sława Śląska Forest Inspectorate website it can be read that "Żurawie Bagno Sławskie - two bogs divided by a narrow strip of deciduous forest adjacent to the north-western shore of Sławskie Lake, the area is important for the maintenance of alkaline mires - the habitat listed in the Annex of the Habitats Directive and relatively a large population of Lipetnik Loesela (perennial belonging to the orchid family) ". I will add from myself that the place is quite mysterious and due to the marshy area not easy to explore. The protection was established on March 1, 2011. The protected area covers 41.7 ha
