This lush meadow with a catchy name is really loved and has many curiosities. The forester Władysław Kochan knew this perfectly, to whom we owe the name of this meadow, which is a wet, heavily overgrown, marshy area in the immediate vicinity of the Sławskie Lake. The plaque says that it is a place of occurrence of round-leaved sundew - an insectivorous plant that on the hairs growing out of its leaves, gives off droplets of a sticky substance with the scent of honey. It attracts insects that are overpowered with this honey-like liquid. After catching the victim, the leaf closes, which takes up to 3 hours. For the next 24 hours, the victim is digested with the formic acid secreted by the plant and immediately after that the sundew is ready to receive another guest. Interestingly, the sundew has the ability to assimilate, however, the nutrient-poor peat substrate makes it must be insectivorous. Sundew is not dangerous for humans. The rinses and decoctions made from it have for us curative and pain-relieving properties.
