The landscape of the area is marked by open two peat bog surfaces, separated by a narrow strip of deciduous forest. The whole is surrounded by a strict ring of coniferous forests, and from the south also deciduous. The eastern boundary of the area is formed by the shoreline of the Sławskie Lake covered with reed beds. Through the forest separating two areas of peat bogs and in the southern part of the area, small meadows flow, feeding the lake's waters. In types of land cover, they co-dominate two different natures of the area: open peat bogs in the center and coniferous forests, and to a lesser extent deciduous on the outskirts.
