Fame has a medieval layout of the city founded at the beginning of the fourteenth century. The city center is a rectangular market square with streets protruding from the corners. Around the market there are narrow streets with preserved cobbled surfaces. The frontages of the square are built with tenement houses in the Art Nouveau style from the 19th century. In the center of the market stands the former Protestant church built in the nineteenth century, currently the Catholic church.
